RCAF Assoc. holding 2nd annual golf tourney and draw in memory of former Club member Lew Black

The Royal Canadian Air Force Association’s first Golf Day and barbecue for summer 2018 will be held on Monday 25 June 2018. This day will be the second annual Lew Black Memorial Golf Day in memory of former President of 201 (Confederation) Wing Lew Black, who passed away on June 6, 2016.

Lew was also a very well-liked member of the Cornwall Curling Club, and was a member of its Board of Directors. A special invitation is extended to Club members who would like to take part in this RCAF Assoc. tourney.

You are also urged to purchase a ticket in a lottery to assist the children of Mikinduri, Kenya, Africa.  The Mikinduri Children of Hope Foundation was a charity that was very near and dear to Lew’s heart. See poster for details.

Golfing will take place at the Glen Afton Golf Course, located 20 minutes west of Charlottetown at 4608 Route 19 in Nine Mile Creek with the first tee time beginning at 1008 hrs (10:08 am for those of us not in the military) The cost is $30.00 for 18 holes walking or $41.00 with cart (taxes in).

The RCAF Assoc. will be collecting a $2.00 donation at the door and this, along with whatever the revenue created during this event, will be donated to the Mikinduri Children of Hope.
