Reminder: Junior program instruction starts on Sunday

The Cornwall Curling Club has a very successful Junior program, and is the home of last season’s provincial Junior (Under 21) women’s, Under 16 Men’s, and Junior Mixed championship teams, and Cornwall’s Chloé McCloskey and coach Bill Hope won a silver medal in the Canadian Juniors Mixed Doubles event.

The program, coordinated by  Brenda MacMillan, gets underway on Sunday (Oct. 26), with beginner instruction, normally for those age 5-7, from 3 to 3:45 pm. Those with more experience, normally age 8-12 (Novice category),  go Sunday from 4-5:30 pm (note change in times from last year). The Novice program also includes after-school instruction and team curling/practice opportunities on weekdays. There are also after-school team practice opportunities for experienced Juniors (normally from age 13 to 20).

If you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late! Just come on Sunday, and Brenda will answer your questions, and look after registration details.

The beginning curling program is divided into two sessions, before and after the Christmas break, and you can sign up for one or both, while the Novice program is for the entire season, which wraps up just before March break.
