The Dominion

The signup sheet will be going up this evening for our Club’s playdowns for the provincial The Dominion Curling Club Championship. There are men’s and women’s divisions, and it is open to paid-up Club members who have curled together in one of our leagues for a period of at least six weeks. Our Club championships take place the weekend of February 7-9, and entry fee is $100 per team,, with 50% of the entry fee paid out in prize money. The winning men’s and women’s teams will advance to the provincial The Dominion, March 27-31 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside. The provincial winners will move on to the national event, at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, November 24-29, 2014.

Defending provincial champs are the Alan Inman team from Crapaud, and the Sharon Horne rink from the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton. Our Club’s representatives at The Dominion last year were the rink of Paul Neima, Kevin Arsenault, Mike Lafontaine, and Dwayne McNeill on the men’s side, and Lorianne Davies, Morgan Kirkham, Tracy MacDonald, and Lynda Turnbull on the women’s.
