Schedule changes for O’Connor Glass Cornwall Classic U16 Spiel

 
The  Cornwall Curling Club is proud to be hosting the Second Annual O’Connor Glass U16 Cornwall Classic on November 12th, 13th and 14th 2021, with top U16 teams from across the Maritimes taking part. The following schedule changes will be in effect because of this event:

On Friday, November 12th:

Daytime morning Drop-In will end early, at 11:30am .
There will be No Afternoon Stick Curling from 12:30 to 2:30.
There will be No Afternoon Members Practice from 4 pm to 6 pm.
There will be No Friday Night Fun League draws at 6:30 or 8:30pm.

On Saturday, November 13th:

There will be no scheduled Club curling on Saturday.

On Sunday, November 14th:

No Sunday morning members practice at 8:30 am to 10:00 am
No Sunday Morning Drop-in League from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
No ParaSport curling 12 noon-1 pm
No Little Rockers and Novice Instructional curling 12:45 pm to 2 pm.
No Mixed Doubles Curling 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

There WILL BE evening members’ practice from 6:00 pm -7:00 pm and 7:00 pm-8:00 pm.
There WILL BE our regular rental group at 7:00 pm.

Sophie Blades-skipped team from Lakeshore club in NS, Team Boyle from Curl Moncton win O’Connor Glass Cornwall Classic U16 Spiel

The First-Annual O’Connor Glass U16 Cornwall Classic, which featured top Under 16 (Canada Games age) teams from across the Maritimes, wrapped up this afternoon at the Cornwall Curling Club with the Sophie Blades team from the Lakeshore Curling Club in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia winning the Girls Division, while The Tyler Boyle squad from Fredericton NB’s Capital Winter Club captured the Boy’s section.

The organizers, Robbie and Jennifer Lenentine (centre in above photo), by all reports did an incredible job with the Club’s first event held under the COVID-19 event guidelines.They would like to thank title sponsor O’Connor Glass, represented by David O’Connor (left), and the host Cornwall Curling Club, represented by President Chris MacDougall (right) for making this event possible. Everyone involved said they received lots of positive comments from the curlers, and coaches, who were glad to see an event on PEI for this age group during the lead-up to the Canada Games.
