Your local Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network is promoting the sport of Stick Curling.

They are inviting regular members to come and try the 2 person stick curling game, either delivering with a stick or a slide delivery, but following the stick rules. Each time you try it (be sure to sign in), you will get a ballot for a drawing for $50 at the Daytime Christmas Closing. Stick curling goes every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon from 12:30 to 2:30.

As well, their annual Stick Curling Bonspiel takes place at the Club on Dec. 5. The signup sheet is up now at the Club. Individual entry – open to any stick curler – you will play a minimum of 4 games, with a different partner each match. 2 divisions, 6-end games. There will be a cross over game which may have fewer ends.

$700 in cash and gift cards up for grabs, assuming full 32 team draw. $25 entry fee includes lunch. Details on scoring, registration, etc. are on the signup board. Entry deadline is Nov. 24.
