Too close to call! We need your help to come to the Club on Sat. morning to cheer our Cornwall teams on to victory against Team USA at the Can-Am Cup!

Team Canada had a two-point lead after Thursday play in Nova Scotia at the Can-Am Cup of curling, as they rolled into Montague today. Unofficially, according to the scoring system, Team USA has pulled ahead by a 212 to 209 score, after they split their games against Montague on Friday.

EVERYONE (Club members and the general public) is invited to the Cornwall Curling Club on Saturday morning, to cheer four of our top Cornwall men’s teams on to victory to ensure that Team Canada is ahead of the Americans after morning play!

 
The doors of the Cornwall Curling Club will swing open at 8:00 am Saturday, and the official welcome will commence at 8:30 am. Please arrive early if you wish to be present for the welcoming ceremonies, as our honoured guests will arrive just before 8:30.
GAME TIME is 9 AM and the cumulative scoring system requires that the teams play all eight ends.
 
Representing the Cornwall Curling Club are:
On sheet #1: Team Angus Kennedy, with Angus’ teammates Brent Irving, Peter Murdoch , and Jody Sanderson.
On sheet #2: Team Greg Groves, with Robert Gallant, Gary O’Sullivan, and Dario Zannier.
On Sheet #3: Team Danny Kneabone with Mark O’Rourke, Danny Bernard, and Carl Currie.
On Sheet #4: Team Mark MacDonald, with Paul Arsenault, Garth Cudmore, and Edgar Coffin.
 
Of course, the bar area will be open for snacks, and, for celebratory drinks after the game!
 
Following the competition, the curlers will enjoy a lunch organized by Etta Reid and her fantastic group of volunteers, before Team USA heads to Charlottetown for their next game at 2 pm.
