Cornwall’s club playdowns for the provincial Travelers Curling Club Championship, which takes place March 10-15 here at the Club, wrap up Sunday.
Mark MacDonald finished first in the men’s division round robin, with Angus Kennedy 2nd, Paul Neima 3rd, and Paul Arsenault 4th.
Kennedy then beat MacDonald in the Page 1st vs 2nd place game to advance directly to the men’s final, with Arsenault defeating Neima in the Page 3rd vs 4th place game. The loser of the Page 1st vs 2nd (MacDonald) and the winner of the Page 3rd vs 4th (Arsenault), now square off in the 9 am Sunday semi-final, with the semi-final winner then playing Kennedy at 1 pm for the Club championship.
In the Women’s Division, double round play wraps up with the 9 am Sunday draw. Debbie Rhodenizer is in the lead with 3 wins. The 9 am game sees Kim Glydon play Rhodenizer. If Rhodenizer wins, she doesn’t need to play the Final, but if Glydon wins, she plays Rhodenizer in the 1 pm final for the Club championship.

Women’s Rules:
Before each game, draw to button by Skip, with sweepers, will determine hammer, with exception of Final game. Skip with best record will have hammer in Final.
- Skip will draw to button after first game to determine placement in the likelihood of “like” records, proceeding 1. Record, 2. Wins F/A.
- If a team wins all 4 games, there will be no final.
- No one will be eliminated in the event of a tie.
