UPEI Panthers finish CIS Ch’ship in 4th place, two players, including Cornwall’s Quilty, win awards (UPEI)

The UPEI Women’s Curling Team, skipped by Cornwall Curling Club member Veronica Smith, finished the CIS/CCA Curling Championship in 4th place, losing to the Thompson Rivers team in the semi-finals.

The team also received two individual awards, with Third Jane DiCarlo selected CIS 2nd Team All-Canadian, for having the 2nd highest combination of shooting percentages and plus-minus among thirds in women’s round robin play, and Lead Aleya Quilty, a Cornwall Curling Club member, winning the women’s R.W. Pugh Fair Play and Sportsmanship Award.
