Dozens of newcomers to our country had a chance to try the very Canadian sport of curling here at the Cornwall Curling Club on three Sunday evenings in January. The ice was filled with curlers of all ages each evening, with new curlers each night, as well as some returning for multiple nights. The last night had so many curlers signed up that an additional evening, this Sunday, February 8, from 6-8 PM has been scheduled, and we will again require on-ice volunteers to help make it happen. There is a signup sheet at the big board by Bev’s office, and it would be appreciated if those who helped out before, along with new helpers, could signup and help the newcomers learn our favourite sport!
