Wed. night Ladder League round one set to go

Welcome to another season of the Wednesday Night Murphy’s Cornwall Pharmacy (first half of season)/Howard Johnson Dutch Inn/Don Lowther Snow Removal (second part of season) Ladder League! In this league. the bottom three teams of the A pool change places with the top three teams of the B pool at the end of each round. The ladder format means that teams play other teams of approximately the same calibre, and adds some variety, as well. At the end of the season, prizes will be awarded to the A pool winner and runner-up in each round, and to the B pool winner of the last round.
The League got underway on October 28th, with Qualifier Night, where teams  played other teams chosen at random, with the winning teams going into the A pool, and the runners-up going to the B division. We have a full draw of 18 teams, with one team from each pool of nine receiving a bye each night (please use the bye teams for spares!).  All games will be eight ends, with draws at 6:30 and 8:30.
We will have an eight week round, which will take us until Christmas, and two seven week rounds, Jan. 6 through Feb. 17, and Feb. 25 through April 7 (end date has not yet been provided – possibility it may end a week earlier).
To try something different from previous years, we are running all teams from a pool at the same time, alternating early and late draws (at least for round one)
