Below are the teams and draw for the final round of the Monday Mixed.

Due to scheduled ice maintenance the club will be closed during the day on Monday, February 9th until 5:30pm.
There will be NO daytime drop-in, afternoon stick drop-in, or afternoon practices.
The Monday evening schedule is unaffected and will proceed as normal.
Congratulations to Etta Reid and Elaine Hughes for their victory in the Women’s Division of the PEI Stick Curling Championships!

Congratulations as well to Barry Craswell and Roy Coffin for their bronze medal finish in the Men’s Division.

The third round of the Thursday Mixed League begins on February 12th and the draw and teams are posted below.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a bye this round and there isn’t necessarily a pattern for the early to late draw frequency so be sure to check your schedule weekly!

The plant repair took a little longer than we hoped so the ice will not be ready for practices at 4pm or 5pm today.
The ice maker is confident things will be good to go for our Monday Mixed and Monday Commercial leagues this evening.
We have ten U12 teams participating in our annual U12 Funspiel this Saturday.
We have teams from Moncton, Montague, Summerside, and Cornwall.
There will be curling, fun, prizes, and pizza – what’s not to like!

The draw for Club Championship Weekend has been set – we have eight men’s teams battling it out for the chance to represent Cornwall at the PEI Club Championships and have their names engraved on the Club Championship Trophy!
On the women’s side Team Creighton (Mellissa Creighton, Jen Bodner, Sharon Campbell, and Amanda MacIntosh) have been acclaimed the champions as apparently everyone feared facing this mighty foursome!
Click below for a PDF copy of the draw and a PDF copy of the rules.
The club will reopen at 3:30pm
The rest of the daily schedule will be:
1230p: NO AFTERNOON DROP-IN
400p-600p: Afternoon Practices as scheduled
630p-830p: Tuesday Competitive League as scheduled
As always the club recommends members use their own judgement based on conditions where you are and comfort level driving in inclement weather.
If your team won’t be making your draw please use the contact lists (https://cornwallcurling.com/members/directory) to touch base with the opposing team.
The club will operate on a delayed opening today.
There will be NO morning drop-in with a further announcement around 11:00am regarding afternoon/evening activities.
Due to current and expected weather conditions the club will be closing at 6pm this evening.
This means there will be NO Monday Mixed League and NO Monday Commercial League.
We will have our scheduled practice times, but as always please use your best judgment based on conditions where you are and your comfort level in winter driving conditions.
The 2nd Annual Winter Jam Junior Bonspiel was a huge success this weekend!
We had 24 teams – including 15 from off Island participate in three divisions – that’s 48 games in a very limited amount of time.
While I wish I could say everything went off without a hitch – the ice plant decided it was just too cold out on Saturday morning (while unfortunate, I totally understand ice plant it was brrrrrr out there!). However, thanks to our friends at Lowther’s Refrigeration and our ice tech Ron we were back up and running in about three hours and still managed to get all the draws in that day!

Thank you to Lowther’s for their quick response!
During the delay our teams were challenged to create mascots and they were awesome! Congrats to Team Burwash for the win!
On Saturday afternoon during ice maintenance time, we hosted Curlmaster – a gameshow based on the British TV show Taskmaster.Robbie Doherty hosted as we watch clips of three of our junior curlers doing previously recorded “tasks” of a ridiculous nature.
In the end Lily Whalley (Cornwall) squeaked past Tavin Nicholson (Summerside) and Kolin Beaton (Cornwall) to claim the coveted Curlmaster trophy – which was modeled after Robbie’s face.
As soon as editing is completed the live show and pre-recorded clips will be posted on our YouTube page for all to see!

Tavin Nicholson, Kolin Beaton, Champion Lily Whalley, Robbie Doherty, and Travis Jones
While things happening off the ice were fun, the real focus of the weekend was in the ice rink where we had great competitive play and good sportsmanship.

In the Yellow (U18/20) Division the playoff teams were (in seeded order): Team Carter (Oromocto, NB), Team Bruce (Cornwall, PE), Team Pugsley (Moncton, NB), and Team Hanson (Fredericton/Oromocto, NB).

Congrats to all the medalists and thanks to everyone who came and made this such a great event.
We greatly appreciate the patience shown by the teams and crowd during the delay and are grateful to those who helped get things back on track afterwards.
We look forward to another great Winter Jam next season and wish each of these teams a great rest of their curling season! If I counted correctly, I believe five of the teams here will be playing at the national U18 event in Timmins in a few weeks!
More photos from the weekend are below!
