Breaking news! Season, incl. Leagues, Programs, extended an extra week, Closing Spiel now starts Apr. 16

A Message from the Board of Directors of the Cornwall Curling Club to all Members and User Groups :

It certainly has been an interesting year…
While we have been grateful to be able to participate in curling (while many in curling communities across Canada and the world have not been able to participate) it has not been without ups and downs.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our members and user groups as we moved through some adaptations during this season.

With this in mind, and given our members have missed some curling days due to the circuit breaker in December and again in March, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce that we have decided to extend the curling season another week.

Our closing date, planned for Sunday April 11th, will now be Sunday April 18th. This extension will allow curlers in all leagues, programs, and any club activities to enjoy an extra week of curling missed during the circuit breaker.

Our Board of Directors and Management made this decision as we felt that our members have been exceptionally understanding and adaptable during this unusual and challenging season of change. We want you to know that we value your support within our club community, and have been appreciative of your understanding in having to close down early last season.

The challenges this past year have given us an opportunity to test our resiliency and flexibility, and we have risen to that challenge!

What has become evident here at 29 Cornwall Road is that this activity of curling more than just a sport. We are a community of supportive friends, we are a clubhouse of laughter, and we appreciate the physical and mental health benefits of “club life” now more than ever.
