The initial draw for our FREE St. Patrick’s Day Senior’s Bonspiel (made possible through the New Horizon’s grant) is set!
NOTE: We currently have three curlers on the waitlist – we need a minimum of three more curlers, preferably five more to add another game to the early draw! If you would like to join us please let me know ASAP! If you intended to sign up and don’t see your name, please let me know as well.
FORMAT:
Those who have registered have been divided into four categories:
- Early Draw Front-End
- Early Draw Back-End
- Late Draw Front-End
- Late Draw Back-End
On the day of the event, we will draw names from a hat to form teams before the first game (so please arrive at least 20-30 minutes before game time).
After three ends, the lead and second will swap places and the mate and skip will swap places to finish out the game (we will make medical exceptions, but if you don’t have a medical reason not to switch, please be flexible!).
Before the start of the second game, we’ll once again draw names out of a hat to form new teams and once again do a switch of the front-end and back-end positions after the third end.
Just a nice, fun, change of pace and way to bring more intrigue to this event!
PRIZES:
We’ll have a few door prizes, some trivia, and there will be a Best Dressed award – so wear your green and be ready to have a blast!
LUNCH NOTE: You do NOT have to participate in the curling to join us for lunch – but we do need to know by Thursday, March 12th if you plan to attend for the lunch!
