Cornwall set to host 4th Annual Masters Plus bonspiel
The Cornwall Curling Club is getting ready to host its fourth annual Masters Plus Bonspiel on Thursday November 17th and Friday November 18th. A Masters Plus team has three players age 60 and over (“Masters”), and a fourth player age 55 or over (the “Plus”). They are hoping for a full complement of 16 teams again this year. Off-Island entries to-date are from CFB Halifax, Truro, the Halifax Mayflower club, along with the Antigonish, Sackville, and Curl Moncton clubs, with PEI teams entered from Montague, the Silver Fox in Summerside, and the host Cornwall club.
Defending champions are the Ted MacFadyen foursome from the Silver Fox. The organizing committee wishes to thank the daytime curlers for giving up their ice time for this event. Drawtimes will be at 8:30, 11:00, 1:30 and 4:00 each day.
Curling fans are invited to come and watch these very experienced curlers, a number of whom have been provincial champions, in action.
