We were sad to learn of the passing of longtime member Tom Dunn this weekend and would like to offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Surrounded by the love of his family and with an appreciation for a life well lived, the death of Tom Dunn, age 84, occurred on October 12, 2025 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He resided in Charlottetown, where he was once active in the Sherwood-Parkdale minor hockey and baseball associations. Tom was a long-time member of the Clyde River Golf Course and Cornwall Curling Club.
Tom was born on February 25, 1941, at the Montague Hospital to the late Harold and Hilda (nee Corcoran) Dunn of Summerville, PEI. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 59 years Joanne (nee McCarthy) and children, Brian (Lana Griffith); Jennifer (Brett Wood); Stacy (happily single), and Stu (Monique Petitpas).
He leaves behind his adored grandchildren Luc, Connor, and Grace Dunn, and fur baby Cookie.
Tom is survived by his sister Dot Power; sisters-in-law Bernadette Dunn, Bertha Dunn, Mary Jane Norman, Joan McCarthy and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by siblings Frances (Gerald) Walsh; Vernon Dunn, Ray (Mary Kaye) Dunn; Joe Dunn, Mary (Joe) Byrne; Floss (Joe) Curran; Mick (Barb) Dunn, parents-in-law Jimmie and Marion McCarthy; brothers-in-law Louis Power, Wayne McCarthy and Dave Norman, daughter-in-law Susan Plourde, and infant son, Ian.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home. No visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius the X Catholic Church Thursday, October 16th at 11:00a.m. in Parkdale.
All are then invited to join the family for a time of food and fellowship in the church basement of St. Pius X.
