The 2025 PEI Seniors Curling Championships wrapped up at the Summerside Curling Club, with Team Shelly Bradley (Cornwall) and Team Eddie MacKenzie (Cornwall) claiming the provincial titles and earning the right to represent Prince Edward Island at the Everest Canadian Senior Curling Championships in December.
In the women’s event, Cornwall’s Team Shelly Bradley dominated the best-of-five series, securing the championship in three straight games. Their consistent shot-making and strategic play proved too strong for Team London, who put up a strong effort but were unable to force a fourth game.
On the men’s side, Cornwall’s Team Eddie MacKenzie emerged victorious in a highly competitive triple knockout format. MacKenzie secured both the A and B qualifiers, while Cornwall’s Team Rousseau claimed the C qualifier. This set up a potential two-game playoff on Sunday, with MacKenzie needing just one win to clinch the title. He wasted no time, winning the first game and securing the championship without the need for a second match. Team Rousseau battled hard throughout the event and finished as worthy finalists.
With their victories, Team Bradley and Team MacKenzie will now prepare to represent PEI on the national stage later this year. Congratulations to both teams on their outstanding performances!
