With help from the New Horizon’s grant program, the Daytime Committee is hosting a FREE Identity Theft and Fraud Prevention Seminar for Seniors on Tuesday, November 18th at 10:00am.
This program is open to ANY SENIOR – you do NOT have to be a member of the curling club.
The Provincial Credit Union will be providing instruction on the following:
The session covers many different ways thieves try to steal your identity and financial information. The presentation will discuss ways to prevent this from happening including tips for online usage, checking your credit score and password security. The Each One Teach One is an approach to providing basic and plain language financial knowledge in our communities by trained volunteer staff from credit unions. Their sole goal is to empower individuals to make the right financial decisions for themselves and their families.
