The third and final round of the Wednesday Evening Ladder League, sponsored by Clyde River Golf Links, wrapped up last Wednesday, with the Greg Groves rink capturing the A section,  and the Paul Durant team, who moved down from the A pool for the last round, winning the B.

Groves and the Mark MacDonald team both had three wins and one loss in four games played (both had byes), while the Karen Currie rink had three wins and two losses in five games.  MacDonald beat Groves, but lost to Currie. Currie beat MacDonald, but lost to Groves, Groves beat Currie but lost to MacDonald. This means that head to head results could not be used to pick the winners, so I looked at game point averages. Currie had 39 points in 5 games for a GPA of 7.8. Groves had 35 points in 4 games, for a GPA of 8.75, and MacDonald had 25 points in 4 games, for a GPA of 6.25, so Groves will be awarded first place.

The round one and two winners, the Bob MacWilliams rink, sat out this round, while  Rick Doiron had two wins, two losses and a bye, Paul Neima had two wins and three losses, and Gord Peters and Lew Black both had one win, three losses and a bye.

The Paul Durant rink moved down from the A pool for the last round, winning all five of their games, for 1st place in the B pool. Three teams, skipped by Kelly Watts, David Younker, and Ray Biagé, all had three wins and 2 losses, while Leigh Farrar and Mathieu Boudreau did not pick up wins in the round.

Names are as listed on the rosters for the season, and may not be accurate for a particular round (I notice, for example. that Bob Fowler was playing on the Durant rink for a number of games, but is not listed). Please let us know of any changes.
