It’s that time of year again – with the wintery weather finally here we have begun salting the sidewalk.
This leads to quite the mess in the entry foyer, clubhouse, locker rooms, and even the ice rink.
We are asking everyone to please:
- TAP your shoes on the outside entryway door frame to help knock off excessive salt/slush;
- USE the large boot cleaner at the indoor entryway;
- REMOVE your outdoor shoes at the entrance, and
- USE the small boot cleaners right before going on the ice (in case your curling shoes picked up any salt/grime in the lobby)
This will significantly reduce the salt that gets tracked into the club and onto the playing surface.
We have multiple boot trays and extra mats around the club and in the locker rooms – please use these to place your outdoor shoes/boots on.
If EVERYONE does this we shouldn’t have water on the floor so you won’t get wet socks – if you don’t do this you might make another club member walk around with wet socks (boo!).
Thanks for your help!
