It’s been a busy few weeks in the provincial curling schedule and Cornwall teams have been active and successful in all of the events.
Junior Championships (U20) – Feb 27-Mar 1
The PEI Junior Championships had five Cornwall junior teams battling for the men’s and women’s titles.
Congratulations to to Team Pater for winning the Women’s Division!
Team Pater includes Lily MacFadyen, Ashlyn MacDonald, Kacey Gauthier, Veronica Pater, Sophie Gallant and coach Pat Quilty.
Team Myers were the other women’s finalists!
Team Myers includes Lily Whalley, Norah MacKinnon, Greta Edgett-Gallant, Grace Myers and coach Darren Gallant.
Congratulations to Team Bruce for winning the Men’s Division!
Team Bruce includes Nate MacRae, Luke Butler, Connor MacEwen, Connor Bruce, and coach Dennis Watts.
Team Haight was the other men’s finalist!
Team Haight includes Aaron Haight, Landon Seaman, Ephraim Fraser, Colin Waite, and coach Sarah Doak.
Cornwall was also well represented in the individual awards:
- Female True Sport: Grace Myers (Team Myers)
- Male True Sport: Luke Butler (Team Bruce)
- Asham Coaches Award – Men’s Division: Shaun MacArthur (Team Beaton)
- Asham Coaches Award – Female Division: David MacFadyen (Team Myers)
Seniors Championships – Feb 25 – Mar 1
Cornwall hosted the Seniors Championships and was once again well represented in the event.
Congratulations to Team Bradley for another win in the women’s division!

Congratulations to Team MacKenzie for their win in the men’s division!

U15 Championships – Mar 6-8
Congratulations to Team Haight for winning the gold medal in the U15 Championships.

Mixed Championship – Mar 5-8
Congratulations to Team Watts, who placed 2nd in the Mixed Championship.
