The first meeting of the Daytime Committee took place on Monday, November 8th.

 

The Daytime Committee has planned for the annual “Holiday Spiel and Luncheon” for daytime curlers, to take place on Monday, December 20th (with a “back up” snow day of Tuesday, Dec 21st). Sign-up will be posted in the clubhouse on the Club Sign-up board. Watch for that! This event welcomes ‘Morning Drop-In Curlers” and “Afternoon Stick Curlers” to celebrate the season by curling two 6-end games followed by a delicious luncheon! Cost will be $10.00.

 

The Daytime Committee will also continue a special tradition of the last two years, of setting up a non-perishable food donation drop under our club holiday tree! This will begin the first week of December and will continue throughout December until Christmas. The donated food will be dropped off to the Community Food Bank right here in Cornwall. Thank you to Eugene Murphy, Elaine Hughes, and Myrna Sanderson for leading this initiative on behalf of the Daytime Committee and our Club. We welcome ALL curlers (Daytime, Evening, Weekend, Juniors and Novice and Little Rockers) to donate to this special community endeavour and help those who may need it most.
