Believe it or not I’ve seen curlers head to the ice with broom heads that look like those in the picture!

Clean ice is more consistent, looks better, and is less likely to pick a rock.

The start of the season is a great time to think about replacing your broom headcover and your grippers.

At minimum a nice DEEP SCRUBBING in hot water and soap – especially the inside of your gripper.

It not only keeps the icemaker and club manager happy – it creates better curling for everyone.

Over the past few seasons we have upgraded our boot cleaners and we’ve added sticky pads at the doors to the rink – but we are a very busy club so every little bit of extra effort on the members part goes a long way!

And surprisingly – several of the headcovers actually went DOWN in price over the offseason.
