The Cornwall Curling Club’s annual “Try Curling” free, no obligation adult curling lessons are wrapping up tonight from 6:30-8:30 pm. Details at CornwallCurling.com/trycurling.
If you haven’t been out yet (or have, and want to learn more!) tonight is your last chance to give the Olympic sport of curling a try.. We have both beginner and continuing (and stick) classes each night, so we can accommodate you, whether you are just beginning, or have some experience.
Club President,(and one of the instructors) Paul Neima briefs the curlers before they head out on the ice at Wednesday night’s Try Curling sessions
New members registration for both junior and adult members is happening at the same time, and our draws are filling up fast! Drop in this evening to tour our fine facilities, and check out our reasonably-priced membership options. We still have lots of availability for Sunday single-entry at 7pm, and, at last count, have room for another team on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights. We have 15 teams registered for Tuesday competitive, and 17 (will be one bye team each night, or two if we get 18) on Wednesday semi-competitive Ladder League. Single-entry weekday evening draws are almost full. There are only one or two teams registered for The Dominion league on Thursday at 8, so there may be changes there..
Don’t forget that Monday to Friday daytime curling, from 10 am to noon, is already underway. Besides membership options, drop-ins are welcome, at $10 a draw or $80 for a pack of 10 draw tickets. Teams are made up as players arrive each day, so you can show up any weekday and give it a try! Also don’t forget to contact the Club to pre-register for Sunday member practice times – 1-3:30 pm.
