Team 10-Mark MacDonald, Brad Gardiner, Steve DeWolfe, TBA have the bye, and will automatically go into the A pool for round 1. They are welcome to come out and practice.
Note that it is past practice at the Club to not have curling on Hallowe’en evening. The last time this draw was in that situation was in 2007, and we cancelled curling for the evening, so we will cancel again this year. That means that the first night for Round 1 will be Nov. 7. There will also be no curling on Boxing Day.
Here are the dates for this season (note that any missed nights due to weather will either be cancelled, or added to the end of the round):Round 1: Nov 7, 14, 21, 28, Dec 5
Round 2: Dec 12, 19, Jan 2, 9, 16
Round 3: Jan 23, 30, Feb. 6, 13, 20,
Round 4: Feb 27, Mar 6, 13, 20, 27
Round 2: Dec 12, 19, Jan 2, 9, 16
Round 3: Jan 23, 30, Feb. 6, 13, 20,
Round 4: Feb 27, Mar 6, 13, 20, 27
We will alternate the A and B pools between 6:30 and 8:30 timeslots, with 3 sheets used each time. We will also alternate the pool with the extra team each round (If the A pool has 7 teams, the bottom three will move down the ladder. If the B pool has 7 teams, the top 3 will move up the ladder. The six team pool will move two teams).
Other notes:
We don’t like defaults, so we will let you play with only one original team member, and at least three players in total.
If you have a Tuesday night team, no more than two players from that team can compete on your Wednesday night team on any night.
Team thirds are responsible to mark the score sheet each night.
If your team can’t make it on a given night, be sure to let the other team’s skip know (and the Club, too, so we can rebook the ice if it is going to be empty).
