A great start to our U16 Development League!

A beautiful Saturday morning on #PEI and a great day for the first draw of Cornwall Curling Club’s U16 Development League!! ?

The Cornwall Curling Club has had a long standing commitment of supporting junior curling development within our club… and leadership in the growth of the game in our province.

This U16 league is a part of that commitment and is intended to give these young curlers from across the province some game experience. The more experienced curlers kindly mentor our new curlers…and the scoreboard is not important. ??

There were lots of wonderful smiles and many proud parents on site today  ~ and we could not be more proud of these young curlers ! ??

Club Members Jennifer Lenentine and Heather Gauthier welcomed parents, grandparents and friends at the door (who had come to cheer on their curlers!). They also checked to ensure all visitors showed proof of double vaccination  and government-issued ID ? … and to remind spectators they must be masked if not sitting with food or drink. ?

Robbie Lenentine has volunteered on behalf of our club to act as the League Chair and Draw Master. Thank you Robbie for your time and commitment to youth sports in our community and at our club. ?

It promises to be a fun season of curling!
Play well curlers and have fun! ??
