With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing in Stratford on Sunday, February 4, 2024 of John “Cecil” Fraser, age 76 years.
Born in Montague on January 15, 1948 to parents Lovat and Amanda (Deveau) Fraser. In 1973, he married his sweetheart, Barbara “Irene” Noonan of Albany, PEI.
Together, they were blessed with two beautiful sons, John “Tyler” and “Brad” Mitchell.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife Irene; sons Tyler (Jenny Cormier) Fraser and Brad (Sarah) Fraser; grandchildren Nash Fraser, Lily Fraser, and Savannah Cormier; sisters Velda (Frederick) Buell, Lorraine (Lorne) MacKenzie and brothers Lovat Fraser and Ivan (Debbie) Fraser; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Vern (Evelyn) Noonan, Sybil Dunsmoor (Allison Jeffrey), Velda (Joseph) Jamieson and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Lovat and Amanda Fraser, brother Carl; sister Francoise Marie (Fran); parents-in-law Ambrose and Clara Noonan; brothers and sisters-in-law Reginald and Lucilla (Murphy) Noonan, Douglas Noonan and Orville Dunsmoor.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. A graveside service with family and friends will take place later. Interment in St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay.
