CBC Mainstreet with Karen Mair will be broadcasting live from here at the Cornwall Civic Centre (upstairs from the curling club) on Friday Oct. 5 from 4-6 pm. Friday events at the Civic Centre include Zumba ($4) from 12:30-1:15 pm,  Corny Games with the kids from 3:30-5:30 pm,  a corn boil ($1 a cob) from 4-6 pm, a corn shucking competition with local celebrities, along with a local chef corn dish competition, from 4:30 to 6, and a dance for grades 3-6 from 6-8 pm. Come on out for a Corny time!
