CLARIFICATION: Social Membership

It has been brought to the attention of the Board of Directors that the Club bylaws state the following concerning Social Membership:

Section 1.1.1: Social Members shall be entitled to enjoy all of the rights and privileges of the Club excepting the right and privilege to curl and to vote, with the exception of Article 2.1.10.

A reminder to all members that to be in compliance with our bylaws, Social Memberships do not include the ability to spare or curl at the club.

The new Social Membership registration will be worded as follows on the registration page:

Social members can attend Club events, maintain a coaching affiliation with the Club, and/or serve on the Board of Directors without a regular membership due to illness or physical impairment that prevents them from actively curling.

Since these memberships do not include the ability to curl, they will no longer require the purchase of a Curling Canada membership or CurlPEI membership.

If you are unable to have a club membership but would still like to curl, we do have drop-in tickets available at the bar for $12 + HST or you can purchase a pack of 10 for $108 + HST.  These tickets can be used to spare, participate in drop-in curling, or curl during members practice time.
