Club proud of Team Birt, presents ‘awards recognition’ gift on behalf of our membership!

During the Scotties Tournament of Hearts we were so very proud to hear our club name announced by legendary curling commentator Vic Rauter on TSN as PEI’s own Team Birt ‘s “home club” !!
(an honour we share with our friends at Montague Curling Club.)

And while it was pretty awesome to have that acknowledgment on National TV …and very cool to have Mr. Rauter’s unmistakable voice to say so….the real source of our pride was seeing the hard work these athletes put in everyday to achieving their goals… and to have been a part of that preparation.

We were so proud how Team Birt gave back to their club, to our juniors, and to the community of curling in PEI. The presence of Suzanne, Meaghan, Michelle, and Kathy in our club is gentle and quiet~and yet they are such a remarkable presence. So many of our club curlers so happy to share the ice with them, especially our young junior curlers!

This past weekend our Board of Director Member and Club Treasurer Jennifer Lenentine, proudly presented an ‘awards recognition’ gift on behalf of our membership~ as Team Birt won the Women’s Provincial Scotties Title and moved on to represent our club at the National Scotties Championship event!

The Cornwall Curling Club proudly provides this financial gesture to all Provincial winners who go on to compete at National events, as a means to help support travel expenses our club teams incur as they pursue their dreams.

Our small but mighty club is proud of the diversity in our membership curling profiles. From beginners to elite athletes ~ we are a mecca of vibrancy and activity…and we are…#bettertogether.
